Amusing moment from the weekend:
Friend: I hate my mother in law so f'ing much!
Me: Whoa. Dude. The vitrol.
Friend: I do. I HATE her.
Me: Wow. The only person I can muster up that kind of hate for is the Entire Bush Administration.
Friend: Oh, yeah. When you put it that way I suppose I hate her a little less than that.
Stop over and check out my book review before you go. It's about alternatives to pharmaceuticals and who doesn't love the thought of that.

Too funny! I agree, the Bush administration trumps the mother-in-law every time.
Hugs,
Laurie
LOL <---completely hypocritically since, dude, I sip from the nectar of vitriol similarly over here
Yep. Bush/Cheney administration really is rock bottom for me. I can't believe they've still got two more years to wreak havoc throughout the world; I just hope America can bounce back from the problems they've caused.
That is so funny. I think that the Bushies put a lot of things "in perspective" for the rest of us.
This sums it up for me:

Let that be his legacy.
The ultimate definition of hate in full force.
How deserving.
Totally f-ing deserving.
Ahh, yes. There are few who are the recipients of my vitriol, but the Bush administration is one. Hitler is another.
Need I say more?
Does anyone hate Bin Laden anymore or is it just me?
Yeah, it's hard to hate anyone more than the Bush Administration. Like Binky mentioned, I think a good part of this country hates them more than Bin Laden at this point.
Yup - Shrub and the Puppetmaster definitely trump the MIL.
Kevin's link (http://www.despair.com/idiocy.html) is brilliant.
How many more days left of this presidency?
Believe it or not, my MIL gives the administration a run for their money. Yes, it's THAT bad.
And -- thank you so much for the super nice comment today! It made my day :)

Hm. I'm certainly not a George Bush fan - he's a moron! - but my mother-in-law will always have a special place in the bitter, petty part of my heart.
this so made me laugh out loud, which may be the best survival tactic for making it through the rest of this administration. Can we clobber them with laughter???
Oh, that little pack of Bush fills me with hateful, hateful thoughts. And sadness. Mostly sadness.
My husband and I have had many conversations about our hatred of B*sh and his cronies. We've wondered whether the hate is too much -- if it's harmful to us to have that hate as part of our day-to-day life.... Should we be more Zen about it all?
Then we decide, naaah. The B*sh hate is well-deserved and it resumes it's rightful place.
*grin*

Hey Jen,
Just read your post on healthy living.
It's a really complex topic, and there are so many different opinions. It seems that the debate around health and good lifestyles is inherently ideological in nature, framed by the historical and cultural context of the speaker.
In some cases, opinions are proclaimed in a gospel-like fervor...;-) This site is one I found to be quite sobering on the topic of healthy eating. Enjoy...heheh!
I have heard that the mother-in-law hatred rivals the Bush Administration, but personally I don't see how. I will check out the review. Where have I been, I didn't even know you had another blog.
{self smack upside the head}
I guess I am lucky about my in-laws... they may get on my nerves, but there's no reason to hate them.
The Bush administation, on the other hand...
I never got to know my in-laws when I was married.. and know way more about the Bush Administration than I ever would have wished.
V. calls Bush the anti-Christ :)
Peace,
~Chani
Oh, that's hilarious.
Bush barely beating out the MIL.
Bad news bears.
Fabulous MIL on this end. Bush administration... thankfully it is about to end!
My MIL is pretty much out of our lives. How i don't miss her.
I can NOT wait to see Bush in the rear view mirror of history.
the bush admin must be the most hated thing on the planet.
um. in answer to your book review title? wr by ja. Don't want to give anything away for the other readers.
crazymum, dude. i thought you'd get it right off. yup.
i truly hate the bush administration, said with conviction.
i've always felt a bit of guilt that i haven't had a mother in law for most of our marriage (she died very early on) and i know that's made my life a hell of a lot easier. especially with a kid.
no one in our house is allowed to say "hate" unless we are talking about Bush.
This is going to sound a little weird, but I had a nightmare last night about Condazella Rice being the President of the USA! lol!
By the way, I'm not a fan of the Bush Administration either.
i have a fantasy. My bat shit crazy mother in law, father in law and sister in law facing off against Bush and Karl Rove and Cheney. They're all giant and shit like Mothara and Godzilla (my mil's shrieky shrill voice is a lot that Godzillas squawk).
Exactly what u-u said. Throw my own Mom in there and you've got the makings for a super smackdown.
This made me laugh! :D
That's funny and gave me a good chuckle--and too I have to say it's really funny that you use the Bush Administration. Not Al Quaida, not terrorists, not rebel baby-killing extremists in Africa--I mean there's a lot of bad guys out there to choose from and you settled on the guys in Washington. I find that funny :)
scrib, good point. there is something much funnier about hating them than hating african baby killers. because there is no humor at all in african baby killers.
