In passing at work:
Hey there, beautiful lady. I keep seeing you around and keep wanting to ask you out. You got a man? Because even if you do I'd love to take you out. And I'd treat you nice, real nice. A real date. In fact, I'd take you to Wendy's. You can order anything you want. How'd you like that, little lady? Anything you want. I'll show you a good time. Wendy's. And that's not the cheap stuff either.
Indeed.

Wow. I think I would have spit coffee through my nose if I had been on the receiving end of that proposal.
Ok, so what exactly is "the cheap stuff?"
A sweet offer, nonetheless, (little lady.)
i'm guessing the cheap stuff is mcdonald's? y'know, because of its dollar value meals?
hubby and I ate at Wendy's for lunch. he even asked me out. but the approach was a wee bit different
I worked at Wendy's in high school so I speak with great authority when I say: "It ain't the good stuff."
Okay. Now I want fries and a Frosty.
That wasn't followed with a slap on the ass, was it?
I agree with KC. Fries and a Frosty...mmmm. But alas, my stomach will not allow it.
But what a pick up line. SOMK!
Anything you want? At Wendys? Girl, dump your man and go on the date.
mmm... frostys. he sounds like quite a catch, jen.
Classy!
Heidi :)
What's SOMK?
Now there's a compliment for you!
Julie
Using My Words
I'd date you too. I know a good one when I see her. xo
This reminds me that My Better Half actually first proposed by offering me a Big Gulp rather than a ring.
This must have made your day.
You didn't jump all over that?
What's wrong with you?
Feeling FROSTY?
Ooooo, Jess already took the Frosty pun.
Alls I can say is J had better watch out.
He's feeling the love in a Supersized way! Wow! I'm bowled over by his taste. "Klassy!"
Cheap stuff = Taco Bell? Just a guess...
And here I was grumbling the other day cause no one notices me any more...
I've had worse offers...
That is one mighty sweet offer.
Wendy's has some good shit, dontcha know ~ good times.
Whoa, big spender! Could be worse; could be McDonalds, right? I think I dated this guy's brother in my past life (the life before kids). i love the moniker, "dumbassery" - I might have to borrow it from you!
Taken in the proper context (and I think I'm assuming rightly that this was a client, not a co-worker) that was an incredibly sweet and charming offer. And I think it's touching that a person of such meagre means was willing to dig deeply to show you a good time.
That's sweet...Wendy's is top of the line when it comes to fast food.
Isn't it fun to get a lil attention though? Even if it is in poor (putting it nicely) taste? No pun intended.
Well, not much. hee hee :)
Sometimes a Frosty is just what the doctor ordered.
Don't you just "love" these. Sigh. I got one last week who wanted to take me out because I had such "purty teeth".
Of all the crappy fast food places, Wendy's is my (reluctant) favorite. Baked potatoes!
Real nice of him not to confine you to the dollar menu on the first date.
I particularly liked the part where he said "You got a man? Because even if you do I'd love to take you out." Ah, romance.
Anything you want from the Wendy's menu! Where to you begin?
My daughter says her Grammy "can" take her to Wendy's because it's Grammy's favorite restaurant. Grammy can't be wrong.
dude.
he TOTALLY gets points for trying.
Hell. I've seen ya. I'd ask you on a date.
I think there's a whole new marketing strategy in this for Wendy's...can you picture the ads now?
;)
That's not the cheap stuff either. McD's has a dollar menu....and Wendy's is 99 cents little lady!
Ok, Jen. Here's a litte snippet you may appreciate.....I saw an interview with John Edwards once in which he said that he and his wife go to Wendy's every year for their anniversary. Sounds like a good offer NOW, huh?
Aw, you're just loved all around, aren't you?
Well, that's an attractive offer.
I love Wendy's more than McD's...
well, you could get a frosty. that might save the date.
