Mere words will not suffice in expressing the outrageous joy in a little California town this weekend. Dresses have been simultaneously worn and not yet removed, not even for sleep. We went out to dinner in the above dress and M pranced around the various tables plaintively whining do you see I'm a princess? I'm a princess! to anyone who would glance her way. And in case you missed them, our Just Post roundtable is just below. It was a fantastic round up this month.

she looks scrumptious and i'm glad to oblige. xo
This page should have come with some kind of warning to protect me from the CUTE OVERLOAD!
*dead*
we see you, Princess M!
It took me a while, but I finally figured out that Lorenzo is in this phase, too. Every day he wants to wear a character shirt, or a fireman coat, or camouflage. Boy dress up! I gotta say, I'm glad it's a bit more subtle.
Uh, except that he says "vrrrooomm" every time his feet move.
What?! It takes so little to be happy? She's a doll - a princess of a doll to be exact!
Sometimes, it really is the little things that make us happy. She looks like her face can't even contain her smile. Precious!
Look at her, all princessed up and delighted!
I see in person in my own 3 year old the joy that is Princess. My frist one could not have cared less. This one, yep, I know about never removing dresses.
Kyla helped me select a couple of new "princess acceptable" dresses for Pers this weekend, which were happily accepted and already worn.
My G used to love this kind of dress up. Now she's all teeth and claws when a dress is suggested. How quick it all changes.
Cutie!
A friend of mine dug out all of her fancy princess dresses and gave them to a VERY happy Baby, which meant that for two solid weeks, she wouldn't wear anything else. It was HILARIOUS.
Her cheeks! Sigh. You have one beautiful little princess there.
Oh, I know that phase oh so well. The Glinda costume I bought her for Halloween was the best $15 I've ever spent.
Your M. is lovely!
Duuuuuuuude my brain just exploded from the CUTE.
I love the pics of M, she's such a beauty. Glad to hear Kiki came through and saved your hide on this one!
Oh that one has the charm! Look out world.
Yes, she IS a princess through and through. From what I understand, Princess is the first stop on the long weary road to Amazon.
What Mad said. Precisely.
She is rocking the princess look.
No princess should EVER have to change into pajamas at bedtime.
I love her I love her I love her. The joy is infectious.
I remember the days (months?) my daughter spent dressed a a princess or in twirly skirts. Dressing up as the default. I expect one of these generations will just never grow out of this phase and as we walk around in public places it'll be like living in a Disney movie - royalty everywhere.
it will be interesting to see how I react when Monkey reaches this phase. My gut reaction is to drop my head into my hands and groan. But that's just *my* princess issues. I try to remind myself of that when I get the urge to start lecturing about the anti-feminist values found in most fairy tales (ah geez, I should seriously lighten up).
she is adorable, btw. And that smile is enough to make smile :)
My neice loves the princess bit too. We boy mommies don't ever get to have the fun with this!
One must never underestimate the power of dress-up!
She is too cute.
What a kind gesture to help a mama out with some princess dresses ...she looks adorable.
She's enchanting.
gorgeous little princess you have there
What a beautiful little Princess. And such a generous bloggy friend :)
Heidi
PS: Caught your note on Jennifer's blog about your Belize plans. V. excited for you!
She is so stinkin' cute.
When my boy, Peewee the Pilot, went through that phase it was a plastic bucket on his head and one black glove (I guess like Michael Jackson?). His right hand eventually shriveled up like a prune from never coming out of that glove! But he DID get over it. Meanwhile it was almost as much fun seeing people's reaction to his crazy costume as it was watching him go through it.
Peace
How sweet!!! She is a beautiful princess, indeed!
She is radiating complete and utter joy!
She is SOOOOO adorable! Kiki rocks.
That smile is priceless and M is so gorgeous!!!
Her smile says it all.
