i know. it's stupid. but help me anyway.
a few of you have mentioned my blog takes forever to load. so i've tried removing what i think is causing the problem, but i can't tell for sure. i also don't know what i am doing.
so you can see how i need your help. does it still take a long time to load? does the waiting make you want to kick my ass?

Your blog has always loaded just fine for me... today, too
it's a leetle, leetle bit faster, but I never had a major problem.
I did notice it was slower, just since the header changes. Now it seems to have loaded much faster, so well done you!
pretty quick today but I usually read through Bloglines anyway so I don't come over often.
It is a bit faster. I don't know whether you are going to get technical support or not but the real issue is that your text comes in last. Your post doesn't show until all the other items have loaded. Perhaps that will give you a start point.

I read through a feed but I've never had a problem when I come to comment. And it's still fine...
sometimes your blog loads fine. Other times it's a bit slow.
I've noticed that blogs w/ the blogher ad network/blog rolling/and other widgets take a long time to load sometimes.
so not a big deal...takes a few seconds. i like the anticipation!

huge file size images slow it down.
Ever since I got my new computer, it loads just fine. However, with my laptop, it was slow - I blame the 8,000 photos I had on there! :)

Oh yes - it was TERRIBLY slow for me. Both with the old and new headers. But today it seemed to load pretty much right away so I think you fixed it. Yay! Some days I would skip reading your blog before just cause I didn't have time to wait (it was a LONG load, like 30 seconds to a minute before!)
It is better for me today. Much faster.

Hi! Since you asked.... In the past your blog has taken the longest to load of all the blogs I read...but it has been SO WORTH the wait that I could not care less! Today, however, I felt the earth move! You came up lightning fast on my DSL. Keep on writing... YOU are the best.

It didn't load well for me on IE but fine in firefox. so it might just be a lameo windows problem.

I used to have a problems with slow loading a lot of my favorite blogs, but that was with Explorer. Ever since I switched to Netscape, no problems! And yours loaded just fine for me, as usual.

seems a tad faster, but your feeds aren't showing up in bloglines for me anymore. something different with that for you?
