Reported during the handing off of M at the end of our vacation:
Look Grandma, there's an Indian statue. The White Man took the Indians' land a long long time ago and that was really not very nice. Bad White Men, Grandma. Bad.
I've never been more proud.

That girl...what a character, what a mind. :)
Julie
Using My Words
I wish she could have been around to talk to my great great grandfather the french fur trapper who quite literally TOOK a wife.
definitely your little girl!
tell little M!
That is awesome!
It reminds me of a scene from Addams Family Values. Not exactly the best of movies, but an excellent scene nonetheless.
Here is the link.
i'd have been surprised had she said anything different!
clever girl.
sing it loud sing it proud M
I don't think there's any question about whose little girl she is.
Well trained girl.
Haven't you acquired a piece of land in some former Indian territory too?
She is your girl after all. :)
Once again, let me say the apple does not fall far from the tree, friend ~
word. xo
It never ceases to amaze me how astute young children are--oh, what we could learn from them...
Oh for a picture of grandma's face.
he he
(so glad you're back!)
How is it that she is more intelligent than people triple (and more!) her age?? Fantastic job, mama!
I love it when kids tell it like it is!
Glad you're back and safe! :)
That's so much fun! But then I'm waiting for my son to declare loudly in the presence of his very catholic grandmother that, well, other people believe in Jesus and such but we don't. And I found that maybe we have over-trained him a bit when he declared he'd never set foot into an airplane because that would be polluting the air. And that's bad.
And then when we had a nice glass of wine at dinner he told us off for drinking alcohol. Oops.
Wise innocence struck again! Put in a picture that would be a colorful bloom.
i could kiss her.
Go, M!
I love it when we pass a construction site and my kids sigh and shake their heads and ask why George Bush keeps cutting down all of the trees. Slightly skewed, but...oh, well. ;)
I love it!
I want to adopt M as my role model. I need a good role model.
Who was it who sang the song, "Teach Your Children Well"? :)
Just finished all the posts. Awesome content this time!
She's amazing, just like her mom.
"from the mouths of babes"... grin.
LOL. I love it.
Reminds me of my girl after I explained to her that Disney's version of Pocahontas wasn't exactly accurate. She would tell anyone who listened how the bad white folk were mean to the Indians. She was three.
miss you.
I love your little girl.
