- The story of a free-spirited woman who after much living had a baby and until recently was in charge of a non profit that helped to get people off the streets. But I've left it all behind to move to the jungle and figure out a way to live more sustainably while seeing more of the world. I heard Amartya Sen speak last year or the year before. He gave another great Gandhi quote. When the British asked if Gandhi wouldn't like some greater role in a shared government, he is reported to have said, "Like is like offering me a post-dated check on a bank that is crashing."
My first thought: What does Gandhi know? He was just a "community organizer". That f-ing Palin is still getting under my skin.
