old time rock and roll

Heather asked me to list some of my favorite posts. It comes from a meme that's going around but I can't quite follow rules very well (and Heather doesn't know that about me yet) so I'll offer a slightly abridged version and call it good.

Posts on love: My favorites are some of the ones that tell the story of we three and my journey into mothering and my beautiful child.

Posts I like: I have a fondness for the ones about our travels.

My great passion besides the above are chronicled in some of the ones about my work and the incredible people I've met. And the kids too.

And I am rather proud of the ones that fostered the Just Posts and their ongoing
evolution.

And once in awhile I even think I'm funny. But only once in awhile. I'm way more fun in real life. But you'll have to take my word for it unless you bring your sweet asses to BlogHer this year.

PS. After I did this I realized that so many of you have been in my village for so long, for a year or more, you've come round visiting. It brought tears to my eyes to see the early getting to know you comments and the evolution of the relationships in the present, so while it wasn't the point of this post, thank you for that too. Old friends and new.

I have two of yours that are my favorites. I'm surprised you don't consider them among your favorites. :)

"Sweet Child of Mine" - lovely post Jen - they are all great!

Are you going to the Blogher Conference? I'm seriously thinking about going - trying to talk myself into it! I'd love to meet some of the great friends/bloggers I have have met - including yourself.

Take care and see you soon. Kellan

I have many, many favorites of yours. I was just thinking the other day how touched I am by how long some readers have been with me--it's wonderful, truly.

You've definitely left your mark in this virtual world, sister. It is but a spark compared to you IRL, but we'll take what we can get. :)

You know what's funny? I really feel like I JUST started reading you...
I loved being able to go back through these.
Hey, are you going to Blogher this year? I might be. Maybe.

Time passes so quickly. Over a year, just like that. I remember thinking something like "Dude. This chick is deep. I don't know if I can hang." But I am so glad I did.

No! You have to have the one about J and M from last February. BTW, baby I think I am one of those rare souls who has read your whole blog. I know that I back read you when we first hooked up in Sept '06 and at that point your archive wasn't nearly as daunting as it now is.

AHHHHH!!!! Beck going to BogHer too? Just shoot me now. I will be the one sulking in Sleepy Town.

While I feel so lucky to have "met" so many amazing people in this neighborhood, you were one of the first that I loved.

And you know what they say about first loves, right?

You're wonderful.

I heart jen.

I would love to go to BlogHer. It's coinciding with the weekend that my husband takes the kids camping with all of his other daddy friends, so it seems like fate that I should go, right? If only it weren't across the freakin' country. I should have saved my Aeroplan miles....

Your Mother's Day post last year brought me to my knees. I wish I could go to Blogher but it looks like I'll be busy packing up our home and moving to a new place at that time.

I'll echo Mad Hatter with the post about J and M. I remember it like it was yesterday.

And I feel so lucky to have been here a while. Like a comfy sofa, a warm blanket, a favorite song -- this feels like home.

Because of your "dude" post, every time I say that word -- and I say it a lot -- I think of you.

Aw, feeling all the love.

Would it shock you to know that you first contacted me on the 29 September 2006?

I love it when you throw down the Blogher gauntlet.

My first comment from you...(I think I am sure) started with the word 'Fucker'.

It was love at first sight for me.

i love you.

i just do. i remember your first comment to me...some of the nicest words i have ever heard spoken. for a moment i didn't think such a soul could exist. (that's how cynical i was).
i'm sure your voice i have missed above all others in my absence.
this place wouldn't be the same without you...
